The SIAS Level 2 Award in Preparing for Work with Manufacturing Industry Awareness is designed provide learners with the essential knowledge and behaviours required to prepare for entry into the manufacturing sector. It supports the development of core employability skills alongside an introduction to the structure, roles and working environments within the manufacturing industry. Learners will gain awareness of key health, safety, quality and environmental considerations, enabling them to understand the expectations of working in manufacturing settings. The qualification is designed to support progression into further learning, apprenticeships or entry-level employment within the manufacturing industry. 

This qualification is intended for individuals aged 16+ who are interested in starting a career in the manufacturing sector. It is suitable for learners with little or no prior knowledge of the industry, including those in further education, pre-employment programmes, or individuals seeking to develop sector awareness and employability skills.
