The SIAS Level 3 Diploma in Scientific and Laboratory Technical Skills assesses the core competencies required to work in a technical role within a scientific context. It allows learners to develop their skills in specific sectors or fields through the selection of optional units.

This qualification has been developed by SIAS, in collaboration with CCEA Regulation and stakeholders from the sector including representatives from Southern Regional College, WorldSkills UK, Queens University Belfast, Southern Health and Social Care Trust, NI Water and Belfast Metropolitan College.

The SIAS Level 3 Diploma in Scientific and Laboratory Technical Skills is aligned to the requirements for the Science Council’s Registered Science Technician (RSciTech) framework.
