The SIAS Level 2 Award in Battery Manufacturing Awareness is aimed at those who are new to working within a battery manufacturing environment.
The qualification aims to introduce learners to the nature and use of batteries, as well as key processes within their manufacture. Learners will explore the nature of common battery cell formats, including their strengths and limitations, before developing an understanding of the main components of a lithium-ion battery cell and the functions that each component performs.
Learners will also be introduced to the battery cell manufacturing process, including the order and purpose of key stages in this process, before learning about the concepts of sustainability and traceability in the battery manufacturing environment.
The SIAS Level 2 Award in Battery Manufacturing Awareness has been developed by SIAS in partnership with the UCS College Group and Agratas.
