MOET is an essential standard for roles across a range of sectors including energy and utilities and nuclear.
MOET covers seven roles including Electrical Technician, Control and Instrumentation Technician and Mechanical Technician and is aimed at ensuring the Apprentice learns how to maintain the safety, integrity and effective operation of plant and equipment.
Upon completion the Apprentice will be competent in their working environment and be able to demonstrate:
- Experience in the operation and maintenance of plant and equipment specific to their role during both fault and operating activities
- An operational understanding of industry health and safety, and environmental working practices and regulations
- Knowledge of engineering principles and theories relevant to their role
Knowing that your apprentice is on track is important and that is why SIAS offers its highly regarded Tracker document and Competence Evaluation Log that gives both the apprentice and employer confidence as the learning progresses.
Guidance materials and individual support for training providers, apprentices and employers are provided throughout the on-programme learning. We also deliver a number of events and webinars to advise and guide across the range of apprenticeships we assess.
