SIAS is pleased to announce that Tiro Training has been confirmed as a SIAS Approved Centre, becoming the first provider approved to deliver apprenticeship assessment through the innovative SIAS Flex model.

This marks an exciting step forward for apprenticeship assessment, enabling Tiro Training to take a more active role in delivering on‑programme assessment, supported by SIAS’s trusted frameworks, quality assurance and oversight.

SIAS Flex sits alongside SIAS Core as part of a dual‑model approach to assessment. SIAS Flex enables providers to deliver assessment within a structured SIAS framework, whilst SIAS Core provides a fully SIAS‑led service. This approach gives providers greater flexibility and control, without compromising quality or consistency.

Through SIAS Flex, Tiro Training’s expertise in delivery and assessment will be combined with SIAS’s structure, standardisation and quality assurance, creating a model that is both agile and robust – allowing assessment to feel more connected to learning.

This approval signals a shift towards a more integrated way of working, where trusted providers like Tiro Training play a central role in delivering assessment, supported by SIAS’s frameworks, oversight and quality assurance.

Steve Smith, Managing Director of SIAS, said: “We’re delighted that Tiro Training is the first provider to deliver through SIAS Flex. The sector has been navigating a significant period of change, and there has been a clear need for approaches that bring clarity rather than complexity. What we’re seeing through this partnership is a model that is more practical, more closely aligned to how providers operate, and ultimately more meaningful for learners. This marks the beginning of what we believe this approach can achieve at scale.”

Charlotte Blant, Chief Executive Officer of Tiro Training, said: “At Tiro, we’ve always believed that the best assessment is closely connected to the learning journey. Becoming the first provider approved to deliver through SIAS Flex is an important step towards a more integrated apprenticeship system – one that combines flexibility with quality and puts better outcomes for learners and employers first. We’re proud to be working alongside SIAS to help shape an approach that reflects how high-performing providers deliver apprenticeships today, while maintaining the rigour and confidence the sector expects.”

As the first provider to deliver through SIAS Flex, this partnership sets the tone for how the model can be applied in practice and the role providers can play in shaping its future.
