Our EQA’s will be responsible for planning and carrying out Centre and qualification approval, and monitoring engagements with SIAS approved Centres in line with SIAS awarding organisation and regulatory requirements. As an EQA you will need to carry out effective risk assessment of Centres allocated and monitor centre performance through effective sampling, and observation of assessment at SIAS approved Centres.
As a SIAS EQA you will provide excellent support to Centres and will need to maintain effective working relationships with our centres and the SIAS operations and quality teams. Knowledge Skills and Qualifications
- Current experience working in Healthcare Engineering particularly within the Estates field.
- Hold the appropriate assessor and internal verifier qualifications (D32/D33 or A1/A2)
- Appropriate external verifier qualifications desirable (Level 4 award in External Quality Assurance or its equivalent D35/V2). If you have not achieved these qualifications, SIAS will support training and you will be required to work towards the qualification in post.
- Ability to plan activity and manage time effectively
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build effective working relationships
- Ability to produce legible accurate reports and set effective actions
- Have excellent attention to detail.
- Be highly organized and efficient and ability to prioritise.
- Be prepared to work in a regulated environment with constant regard to requirements placed upon us by external regulators and SIAS processes and procedures.
Successful candidates will be given full training and support.
EQA’s are contracted on an annual and freelance basis, and there will be a requirement to travel as part of this role.
